Question: Can I install or update Bell Business Internet Security Pack without Administrator Rights?

Answer: No, you must be part of the Administrator group to update or upgrade following:

  •   Install the software
  •   Upgrade the software
  •   Anti-Spyware engine
  •   Anti-Spyware definition file
  •   Anti-Virus engine
  •   Anti-Virus definition file

To verify if you have administrator privileges:

  1. Click on Start, point to Settings then Control Panel
  2. Click on Users and Passwords.
  3. On the page that appears, choose the Users tab.
  4. Under the Group column, your user must appear as part of the Administrators group.

If Administrator does not appear under Group, contact the computer administrator to gain privileges or do the update.
